Newly opened Salt & Pickle focuses on foods that have been preserved. The walls are a bit De Stijl and the restaurant is light and airy with bare bulbs and some exposed brick. The service is warm and friendly.
It’s fundamentally a wine bar with great food thrown in. Their evening menu looks promising but as it coincides with bedtime at our house we visited for a late lunch and sampled their cheese and charcuterie platter. The lunch menu is considerably pared down in comparison to the evening so if you’re local this is an excellent low key date night spot, warranting a babysitter.
What’s good? The wine list and the cheese and charcuterie.
Kid friendly? Yes, but as they’re newly opened no high chairs as yet.
